About My Clients

I work with adults and older teens who face challenges with self‑trust, difficulties with attachment, and relentless self‑criticism that can masquerade as self‑awareness. These patterns often manifest as perfectionism, in the minimizing of one’s needs, or in complex relationships with food and body image. I provide therapy for people who've already tried to think their way out.

My Background and Approach

My approach is relational and depth‑oriented, drawing from psychoanalytic and existential traditions with somatic and behavioral interventions braided in. I’m a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist trained by IAEDP with postgraduate training at the William Alanson White Institute in psychoanalysis and in the treatment of Eating Disorders, Compulsions, and Addictions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I see therapy as a collaborative process grounded in meaning-making and practical awareness. The goal is genuine change: quieting thoughts, shifting behaviors, and growing inner capacity. The relationship becomes a living laboratory where you can try out new ways of being; where needs, desire, and ambivalence can be held rather than managed or minimized and brought more openly into your relationships with others.
