My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that specializes in maternal matters. I have 20 years of experience as a School Counselor and Teacher and two years in Mental Health Counseling. This is an area of interest due to having two children after age 35, so it's personal! I hope to walk with you on a journey towards mental health wellness. The approach to therapy will be uniquely appropriate, allowing the client to feel heard and understood. Sessions will be approached with an open-minded atmosphere and warm regard for the needs and solutions for the client. Mental Health Tools will be provided to empower the thoughts, words, and behaviors to promote positive outcomes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My counseling philosophy is built on my belief in Jesus Christ; this teaches me all women should recognize their ability to heal, learn and grow. Since the beginning of time, women have struggled with understanding the emotional conflicts that come with motherhood. Providing a listening ear, a caring heart, and specified knowledge is what women need.
