About My Clients
I specialize in helping children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, grief and loss or those who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. I can also support parents in responding effectively to challenging behavior in children and adolescents, whether it be something situational or due to an ongoing condition.
My Background and Approach
I always knew I was destined to work with kids and teens. I grew up outside of Chicago and headed to St. Louis Missouri to study psychology. In college, I took a part-time job as an ABA therapist, which introduced me to the many challenges and rewards of working with children with autism. In 2005, I moved to Colorado to pursue my doctorate in school psychology at the University of Denver. I have served as a school psychologist with Cherry Creek Schools for nine years. Although I value hard work, I am extremely personable, grounded and optimistic. I have an empathic nature that children are naturally attracted to. No matter your age, it’s important to find humor and possibility in less-than-desirable situations. It’s important to take stock of your true values and move forward empowered as your authentic self.
