About My Clients
You're the one everyone counts on, and you've gotten so good at holding it together that no one sees how much you're carrying. If anxiety, stress, or things from your past are wearing you down, you don't have to handle it alone. Maybe it looks like a racing mind at 2 a.m., a short fuse you can't explain, or going through the motions. Maybe asking for help feels unfamiliar. Many of my clients aren't sure therapy is "for them." They just know what they're doing isn't working a anymore.
My Background and Approach
My background is in inpatient psychiatric care where I led groups and helped individuals in crisis return to a stabilized place. This gave me the tools of understanding and empathy when working with a wide range of individuals and issues within life. Therapy with me is honest, practical, and collaborative. We'll figure out what's driving the anxiety, stress, or old pain, understand where it comes from, and build skills you can use in your actual week. I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is to be a steady, supportive partner while we work through it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens within relationship. At my core, I am grounded in the humanistic belief that you already possess the wisdom and capacity for growth within you. I draw from person-centered therapy, which emphasizes genuine presence, unconditional positive regard, and authentic care as important conditions for meaningful change. I am also deeply influenced by Relational-Cultural Therapy, which recognizes that disconnection and isolation can contribute to many struggles, while genuine connection can become a powerful source of growth. Many of us learn through family patterns, cultural messages, or painful experiences that vulnerability and openness are risky. I believe therapy can provide a safe space to explore those experiences and develop healthier ways of connecting with yourself and others. An existential perspective also shapes my work. I believe anxiety, trauma responses, and life transitions can bring deeper questions about meaning, identity, authenticity, and values.
