About My Clients
I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, senior citizens, and couples seeking help with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, trauma, addiction, LGBTQ+ issues, and life transitions. I work with clients who are motivated to make a change in their lives, but need guidance to help create that change.
My Background and Approach
I utilize an integrative approach that is collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered. I incorporate psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and motivational interviewing theories and techniques into my treatment which is tailored to the needs of each client in partnership with them. I seek to establish a rapport with my clients that is built upon mutual respect and trust. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is directed in accordance with the clients goals and values. I appreciate the bravery it takes to pursue treatment, and welcome the opportunity to work with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every human being. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and consider myself an ally to the Black Lives Matter movement. I enjoy working with a diverse population of clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.
