About My Clients
In my practice I work as a generalist and have experience with a wide range of concerns and issues including the stress of daily life, relationships, depression, anxiety, life adjustments, and addiction concerns. I work with adults from all backgrounds including college students, young professionals, and LGBTQ identifying individuals.
My Background and Approach
In therapy I use a collaborative approach in order to provide a safe and supportive environment to facilitate self-exploration and self-improvement. We will work together to better understand your concerns and what influence your previous life events might be having on your current struggles. I received my Ph.D. from the APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology program at Gallaudet University. Before private practice, I worked in a variety of clinical settings including Gallaudet’s Counseling and Psychological Services, the Multicultural Clinical Center (Springfield, VA), Sheppard Pratt Hospital, the Psychiatric Institute of Washington D.C., and the Howard University Counseling Center. I completed my APA-Accredited Doctoral Internship at University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Counseling and Psychological Services.
