My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My training allows me to work from both a relational and depth-oriented perspective while also providing structured, evidence-based care. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness, desensitization techniques, and strength-based positive psychology. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and pragmatic. Therapy with me is active and intentional—we clarify goals, identify patterns that maintain distress, and apply practical tools that support emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and sustainable change. I believe insight is important, but lasting change happens when understanding is paired with skills clients can use in daily life. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic stress and past experiences. My style is compassionate, yet goal oriented.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing and growth are possible at any stage of life. I view emotional distress not as a personal failure, but as a natural response to stress, loss, trauma, or learned patterns that once served a purpose. With support, insight, and practical tools, those patterns can change. I value authenticity, compassion, and personal agency. Therapy should be a space where you feel respected, emotionally safe, and empowered to show up as your full self. I believe clients are the experts of their own lived experiences, and meaningful change happens through collaboration rather than judgment or pressure. I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care and strive to create a space that affirms diversity in identity, background, belief systems, and lived experience. I support equity, dignity, and access to mental wellness for all people. I belief that people deserve relief from emotional suffering & healthier sense of self!
