About My Clients
I service individuals, couples, and families that are seeking counsel through at least one of the following: anxiety/stress, relationship issues, grief/loss, low self-esteem, depression, pre-marital, marital conflict, family conflict, trauma, teen issues, parenting, life transitions, and other mental, emotional or relational focuses. Ultimately, I aim to be a listening ear for those who not only wish to speak, but also desire to be HEARD. That, plus understanding, is the beginning of healing.
My Background and Approach
I often use faith-integrated techniques and evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My therapeutic style is purposed to help clients feel safe and secure enough to identify and express how their thoughts and beliefs are impacting their emotions and behavior; and thus, their lives and relationships with loved ones. As a result, clients can experience increased esteem, improved relationships, and an overall increase in life satisfaction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Since 2015, I have ministered and provided spiritual counsel to both youth and adult church communities through public speaking, exhortation, and prayer. My desire to help others and share Christ’s love with those enduring tough times inspired my decision to pursue therapy as a profession. I am now a resource for individuals and couples specifically seeking faith-based counseling, as well as those who hold a different faith or worldview. I believe that many of our past and present circumstances that cause heartache and challenge can be channeled into resilience for our future experiences. “All things [can] work for good…” according to the biblical principle, Romans 8:28. Therefore, despite the situation, the length of time since it has occurred, or the length of time that it has continued, a shift in our narrative and understanding of it can invite great healing.
