About My Clients
My ideal clients are young adults, particularly first-generation adult children of immigrants, navigating anxiety, cultural identity, and family dynamics. I specialize in helping high-functioning individuals manage the weight of familial and cultural expectations while fostering personal growth. Whether you're dealing with people-pleasing, guilt, or relationship challenges, I provide a creative, compassionate, and strengths-based approach tailored to your needs.
My Background and Approach
I work with young adults navigating anxiety, cultural challenges, and intergenerational trauma. Together, we’ll explore how the patterns and expectations passed down through generations impact your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. By using emotions as messengers, we’ll uncover the deeper stories behind your struggles and find new ways to heal. I integrate evidence-based practices like CBT with somatic therapy to help you reconnect with your body and better understand how anxiety manifests physically. You’ll learn techniques to calm your nervous system, regulate your emotions, and build resilience. I also incorporate expressive arts therapy—creative writing, visual arts, and psychodrama—to make the healing process engaging and empowering. My goal is to equip you with tools you can carry anywhere, helping you break cycles of stress and self-doubt while fostering clarity, confidence, and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of authenticity, creativity, and community to foster healing and growth. As a second-generation Turkish American, I understand the complexities of navigating cultural expectations and identity. My personal journey has shaped my deep commitment to supporting young adults, especially those from immigrant families, in finding balance between their cultural roots and their individual aspirations. I’m passionate about creating spaces that honor cultural healing and self-discovery. I actively support initiatives that destigmatize mental health, especially for marginalized communities, and work closely with organizations focused on mental health for women, girls, and femmes of color. I also align with movements that promote social justice and equality, advocating for mental health access and inclusion. Above all, I believe in the power of connection and storytelling as tools for healing, and I strive to bring those values into every aspect of my practice.
