About My Clients
I often work with people who feel stuck in patterns they genuinely want to change. You may be dealing with intrusive thoughts and compulsions, addiction or recovery, pornography or other unwanted sexual behaviors, trauma, shame, or anxiety. Some clients come in knowing exactly what they want to address, while others simply know something is not working. We’ll work to understand what keeps the problem in place and develop practical ways to move forward.
My Background and Approach
I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado. My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on understanding what keeps a problem going. I use Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, EMDR when appropriate for trauma, and other evidence based approaches depending on the concern. I believe different problems require different kinds of treatment rather than trying to fit every client into the same model.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
For clients who want it, I offer counseling from a Christian worldview and welcome conversations about faith, values, guilt, doubt, and meaning. I also work with clients who do not want faith incorporated into counseling. I take your beliefs seriously without assuming that every psychological struggle is a spiritual problem.
