About My Clients

We live in a demanding and constantly changing world. Are there times when you feel overwhelmed or worried about those challenges? Thank you for considering me as your counselor; I acknowledge that finding the right counselor can feel scary and even overwhelming. Through the lens of cultural humility, I am here to walk with you and support you through this process. I am committed to helping you through your healing with compassion, understanding, and sensitivity.

My Background and Approach

My interpersonal style is compassionate, non-judgmental, and respectful, and I work to build a space where clients feel comfortable exploring concerns and issues. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, military members/first responders, and spouses. By personalizing therapy and offering a non-judgmental stance, I help those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicidality, grief, and trauma learn to cope in more effective ways. I am an experienced trauma therapist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTPII). I am a certified EMDR practitioner (EMDRIA trained), certified Greif specialist, and certified in DBT and ACT.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience a present and future that are not wholly controlled or defined by their past. One of the main reasons we find it difficult to navigate our thoughts and feelings is that we have picked up unhealthy ways of thinking and feeling about ourselves, others, and about life. As a child, I suffered from thoughts and feelings that I did not understand that caused me anxiety. Through my own therapy, I have learned healthier ways of processing and navigating my anxiety and past trauma so that it does not control me. I am committed to helping you through your healing with compassion, understanding, and sensitivity. My interpersonal style is compassionate, non-judgmental, and respectful, and I work to build a space where clients feel comfortable exploring concerns and issues. I am committed to helping you through your healing with compassion, understanding, and sensitivity. I look forward to hearing from you and working together.
