About My Clients
My ideal clients would be between the ages of 14-40. This broad age range is due to, although different in obvious ways, have similarities of emotional distress across the generations. My ideal client would present with issues such as behavioral issues, attachment issues, difficulties with communication, depression, anxiety, relationship issues - -developing or losing - self destructive behaviors, substance use-self harm-SI-SA - Intrusive thoughts and just a low functioning day to day life.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is to be authentic and transparent towards my clients. It is important that my clients feel comfortable with me as this allows them to feel they are in a safe and trusting environment. A transparent therapist helps to build a positive therapeutic relationship, which will ensure the client remains motivated in therapy which ensures the most successful treatment journey. My initial goal in therapy is to help facilitate and encourage client to reach a regulated state in their day to day life with interventions and tools conducive to their lifestyle. Once a client feels comfortable and safe with the therapeutic relationship a deeper dive into underlying issues can be approached at the clients pace and comfort level to achieve a better day to life on their terms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value trust, authenticity and truth. I believe that every human is good, there are just times they have made bad choices with negative implications or they have been subjected to bad experiences throughout their lives beyond their control. I believe that there are not victims of these events and experiences, they are survivors. I believe that if I am true to who I am that my client will value the therapeutic process and feel respected and heard. I have a strong belief that most conflict arises from one party not feeling heard by another and the other party not being able to feel they can truly voice their authentic self.
