About My Clients
I often see the medical field project a false advertisement that we can all be “fixed”. This can create a cycle of shame when we try over and over again to find quick solutions for any relief. I strive to guide my clients to identify their inner critics, shame protectors and family legacy burdens to help find their true selves. I find the individuals I work with are able to access more self-awareness, self-trust, self-compassion as well as develop greater access to their own inner healing.
My Background and Approach
I take an integrative approach using primarily Internal Family Systems; "parts work" and Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with my clients. Through a mind-body approach I address the whole client, not just the presenting isolated symptoms. I bring compassion, humor, and gentle curiosity into the therapy process. I will work with you to access your innate strengths and reveal patterns from your past and present that may be keeping you stuck.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Balance in life can only be achieved when we start taking care of both our mental and physical health. I address cognitive, emotional and physical needs of all clients. Whether that is challenging your anxious and negative thoughts, changing disruptive relationship patterns, avoiding work burnout or taking steps towards better nutrition and physical routines, we will address the whole you each session.
