My Background and Approach
As an EFT therapist (Emotionally Focused Therapy) I will help you better understand your "negative cycle." This is the pattern of interactions, feelings, and beliefs that drive disconnection in your relationship. We will then learn how to understand you and your partner's deeper needs, fears, and emotions that fuel the negative cycle. The next phase is where I will help you and your partner to break the cycle with honest vulnerable communication. I want to help you both feel understood, safe, and connected. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was not always a therapist. I worked for Tesla in the corporate world before I began my journey as a therapist until, all at once, my world came crashing down. I got laid off, I broke my jaw, and I broke off an engagement all within a couple or months. Due to abusive element of the relationship I was left with no confidence, few social connections, and a mountain of emotional pain. At this point I went to therapy for the fist time. With a combination of therapy, prayer, and the support of family I bounced back better than ever. I found the love of my life and began helping others to heal their hearts individually and as couples. Through my journey I have come to believe that life's good and it is meant to be fulfilling. I have learned that suffering brings some of the greatest blessings. I have learned that people can change and that most people are truly good at heart. Most people have worthy longings and fears that when understood open to door to healing and connection.
