About My Clients

My clients understand that therapy is hard work, their choice, and a sacred journey. Clients must be willing to do work outside of our sessions to further change in their lives. Clients must bring their own autonomy and continue to commit to the therapy process. Clients must recognize the value of creating a space for healing to happen. My hope and prayer for all clients is healing and restoration.

My Background and Approach

I have been counseling since the start of 2020. After 7 years in Colorado, my wife and I moved back to Arizona, where I spent my teenage years. I enjoy watching and playing sports (that includes pickleball), being outside and in nature, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am married to my beautiful high school sweetheart and am a girl dad to two spunky daughters. I am someone who has benefited from counseling in various seasons of life as a client. Those experiences in therapy inspired me to become a counselor and to help others with their pain and struggles. I am EMDR, DBT, and CBT trained. I enjoy working with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families. My other areas of interest and study include Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Existentialism, and Polyvagal Theory.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Christian and follower of Jesus who aims to integrate the truth and grace of faith into the counseling experience for those clients who desire a faith-based approach. I firmly believe that integrating biblical principles rooted in a relationship with Jesus with sound counseling theory is the best way I can serve the people God has put in front of me. I strive to do this well in all of my sessions with clients. I received a BA in Psychology from Colorado Christian University in 2018 and MA from Denver Seminary in 2021. I had the pleasure of working for a Christian private practice in Denver before moving back to Arizona. While spending my last three years in community health, I have felt a prompting to more directly use my Christian faith and clinical background to help those struggling mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I am also comfortable meeting with clients who do not want spirituality involved in therapy and have respect for clients from all walks of life.
