By learning about ourselves and how anxiety impacts our day to day lives we can gain more empowerment. I find that with enhanced self awareness and use of some intentional therapeutic approaches we can gain symptom relief. Anxiety is something we all experience on some level, so we can all relate. By providing some compassion and love towards self we are able to feel relief.

I use a trauma-informed approach when treating PTSD. This approach recognizes the profound impact of trauma on an individual's physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. I places great emphasis on creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel empowered and in control of their healing process. I use EMDR as the primary intervention to treat PTSD. This helps traumatic experiences become "un-stuck" or inadequately processed in the brain.

IFS is so much fun! It that focuses on understanding and healing the internal dynamics within individuals. IFS proposes that individuals have different "parts" within them, each with its own thoughts, feelings, and intentions. These parts can be in conflict with each other, leading to emotional distress and unhealthy patterns of behavior. I try to identify and communicate with their different parts, fostering a compassionate and curious exploration of their internal system.

I love EMDR because it integrates elements from various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and bilateral stimulation, to help individuals process traumatic experiences and alleviate associated symptoms. It is so flexible because EMDR has been found effective for a range of conditions beyond trauma, including anxiety disorders, phobias, panic disorder, and depression. It can also be used to enhance performance and personal growth.

I find that CBT can be applied to various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others.It's important to note that while CBT is highly effective for many individuals, therapy approaches should be tailored to each client's unique needs. Flexibility and openness to adapting techniques based on individual circumstances can greatly enhance the therapeutic process.
