About My Clients
I have experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, depression, anxiety, children, teens, adults, and groups. I am a certified Mental Health First Aider, specializing in suicide prevention and intervention and a Certified Grief Informed therapist.
My Background and Approach
My approach to treatment includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based CBT(MBCBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), to name a few. I also have 10 years of experience in Texas’ second largest ISD as a campus-based social worker and therapist. My experience also extends to veterans and their families. Because of my own military journey, I have a unique insight on veterans’ needs and unique experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the right to grow and change, and deserve the access to the support to do so. I believe that unhealthy, learned behavior throughout our lives influence our likelihood to experience mental health issues. Stronger mental health can be achieved by unlearning unhealthy and negative behaviors, as well as growing our toolbox of coping techniques. If your are seeking to unlearn your unhealthy behaviors and habits, reach out to me today.
