About My Clients
Tracy LaChapelle (Dr. T) is a licensed professional counselor with a doctorate in educational leadership who specializes in evidence-based trauma-informed practices that are used to treat trauma, depression, anxiety, loneliness, ADHD, Dis-Abilities, self-esteem concerns, social anxiety, autism, social skills deficits, and various life transitions. Dr. T provides Transgender-Gender Affirming Care, serving members of the LGBTQ+ population and their families.
My Background and Approach
Dr. T’s therapeutic approach is laid back, flexible, and with a sense of humor. She is often referred to by clients who have never been to therapy or felt they did not have good experiences in the past. In the first session, the client is in the driver's seat plugging in the GPS of where they want to go in achieving their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Dr. T says, "Engaging in therapy is not about changing a person; it is finding the person, their strengths, and supporting them to be their true selves."
