About My Clients
My clients are adults who feel ready for change but aren’t sure where to start. Many struggle with anxiety, trauma, or feeling disconnected from themselves or others. I work with motivated individuals seeking growth, healing, and balance through EMDR, IFS, and mindfulness-based therapy. My clients value deeper self-understanding, emotional healing, and lasting transformation in a supportive, compassionate space.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and EMDR-trained therapist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I specialize in trauma therapy, anxiety, depression, and life transitions using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches. My background includes working with adults, teens, and children in clinical and community settings, helping clients reconnect with their inner strength and sense of safety. In our work together, I’ll help you identify the patterns and parts that keep you stuck, process painful experiences at a pace that feels safe, and move toward genuine emotional healing. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in both evidence-based practice and deep respect for your unique story. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process that empowers you to live with more clarity, peace, and confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens through connection, curiosity, and compassion. My work is rooted in the belief that every person has an innate capacity for growth and self-healing when they feel safe and supported. I value authenticity, inclusion, and mindfulness—both in and outside of the therapy room. As a trauma-informed therapist, I strive to create an environment that honors the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I’m passionate about holistic healing, nervous system awareness, and empowering clients to trust their own inner wisdom. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time in nature around Grand Rapids, exploring local trails, and connecting with community. I’m also drawn to creative expression, self-reflection, and continued learning around trauma, attachment, and integrative mental health.
