About My Clients
I work with adults who are high-functioning yet caught in persistent patterns — in relationships, in stress responses, or in the way they relate to themselves. My areas of focus include addiction recovery, codependency, shame, emotional neglect, boundary-setting, and the long-term impact of complex trauma.
My Background and Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in nervous system science. We examine how earlier experiences shaped your coping strategies, attachment dynamics, and core beliefs. When past experiences continue to feel activated or unresolved, I integrate EMDR to support deeper processing and lasting change. Therapy with me is both insight-driven and action-oriented. I teach practical, realistic coping skills to help regulate intense emotions, manage anxiety, communicate more effectively, and respond differently under pressure. Our work moves at a pace that feels collaborative and steady, with space for curiosity, honesty, and growth. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Spanish from Loyola University. Above all, I believe healing happens in the context of a genuine therapeutic relationship — one where you feel seen, supported, and gently challenged.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring a culturally responsive, identity-affirming lens to my work. With over a decade of experience supporting individuals post-incarceration, I am committed to offering therapy that affirms dignity, complexity, and humanity. I believe we are more than what we’ve done — or what’s been done to us. As a bilingual (English/Spanish), queer, and neurodivergent (ADHD) therapist, I bring clinical expertise alongside lived understanding of marginalization and internalized shame. If you’re looking for a therapist who balances depth with directness, I’d be honored to connect.
