My Background and Approach
My professional journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology from Florida State University, which laid the foundation for my understanding of human behavior and social dynamics. Building on this, I pursued and earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Florida State University, equipping me with the advanced skills and knowledge necessary for clinical practice. My hands-on experience spans various settings, including providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I have also worked as a Family Health Advocate where I developed and maintained relationships with community organizations, facilitated support groups, and comprehensive care. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in addiction recovery, mental health counseling, and maternal and infant health education. Additionally, my training as a Registered Yoga Teacher allows me to incorporate mindfulness and yoga practices into therapy, offering a holistic approach to mental health
