About My Clients
Life is not easy and periodically, we experience bumps in the road, whether it be through peers in school as children/teens, or perhaps a couple going through communication challenges or struggles about commitment. Or, individually, sometimes the trauma we experienced in our childhood still haunts us because we have not taken the time to work on resolving it and developing healthy coping strategies. Regardless, I have the essential belief in hope and that we all have the capacity to grow.
My Background and Approach
My clients are typically struggling with anxiety, depression or other barriers they are experiencing in relationships (individuals or couples), at school (children/teens) or at work. Initially, we determine what is interfering with stability such as unresolved trauma and then we identify healthy strategies to get your life on track. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches are used in sessions as typically we all have some level of distorted thought patterns and once awareness is gained about those negative thought patterns, clients become more aware of healthier coping strategies as they "test" whether thoughts are indeed accurate or irrational. My clients report feeling supported and understood with an action plan that helps them on a gradual path of healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have the foundational belief that we are all vulnerable to challenges in life and reaching out to an unbiased person can be powerful and life-changing. Through instilling hope and positivity, I think that together, we can work towards helping you cope and feel healthier. I have unconditional care for all of my clients, regardless of their background, ethnicity, gender or religion. I look forward to meeting with you and understanding what brings you to therapy so that we can work through the barriers you may be having in your relationships and life transitions. Anxiety and depression may be impacting your ability to do your very best in your work and home environments. Through our work together, we can identify healthy strategies.
