About My Clients
I believe a person’s thoughts, behavioral patterns, and triggers have deep roots in their accumulated trauma in life; possibly things they went through as children and even as adults. I approach these thought patterns by helping you dig deep into your whole story and see the correlations between who you are now and who you were back then. My key factor in this process is authenticity, meaning that I show up as my genuine self and try to sincerely meet you where you are and relate to you.
My Background and Approach
My main techniques for helping clients are PCT (person-centered therapy) with some techniques taken from CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy) and SFBT (solution-focused brief therapy) to holistically address the needs of the whole person. I won’t ever tell you what to do but I will serve as your guide to the correct path for your life as you define it. I will challenge and/or confront you as needed while you take the driver’s seat in the journey to your own personal healing. Therapy might not be the end of all your challenges or problems, but learning various coping mechanisms, tools and skills will help you to create a healthy way to handle issues/challenges along the journey.
