About My Clients
I work with adults of all ages. I help young professionals and graduate students learn how to overcome feelings of burnout so they can feel energized about the work they do. I also work with highly sensitive people who are navigating this loud and overwhelming world in a way that works for them so that they can find peace.
My Background and Approach
My passion is working with clients in a way that will not only facilitate emotional healing, but will allow them to feel more connected to their bodies. This type of therapy, known as somatic psychotherapy, is particularly helpful for people who have experienced trauma and have felt subsequent physical symptoms, such as migraines or chronic pain. Somatic therapy can also be very valuable for people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and any day-to-day stressors. The goal of this type of therapy is to strengthen a person’s sense of safety and calm in their own bodies and therefore in their lives in general. With safety as the foundation, I strive to help clients gain a sense of confidence, purpose, and clarity about the lives they would like to build for themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My belief that everyone deserves safety and and care in this world extends to all sentient beings. I work with dog rescues and am always fostering dogs, I've rescued 2 pot belly pigs (can't wait to rescue more!), and I try to spend time at farm animal sanctuaries as often as I can.
