About My Clients
Client who are most successful with me are looking for sessions that are more dynamic than just talk therapy and want a therapist who is an active participant. I click especially well with neurodiverse clients as well as women in midlife. My clients value my straightforward approach, my experiential style of therapy, and my sense of humor and creativity. I accept insurance with Aetna, Oxford, Oscar Health, and United Healthcare (with Regence pending).
My Background and Approach
With over 20 years experience in community mental health, university counseling, hospice, with Native American populations and autistics, I offer a comprehensive and compassionate approach. These experiences have given me invaluable cultural insight, appreciation for holistic healing practices, and experience with a wide range of psychological concerns. I am particularly focused on working with women in midlife transitions as well as providing affirming care to neurodiverse clients. With a background in Buddhist philosophy, I weave together ancient wisdom and modern approaches to guide you toward deep healing and greater peace of mind. We may draw on mindfulness skills, art therapy, NLP, CBT, DBT, and nature-based strategies, for a comprehensive, holistic approach tailored to your unique needs. My style is characterized by empathy, directness, humor, and a collaborative spirit. I create a genuinely supportive environment where personal growth and self-discovery flourish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the importance of including body, mind, and spirit/heart in healing work. It isn't enough to just address the mind! I passionately support neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, and anyone who identifies away from "normal." My hyperfocuses are dogs, mini donkeys, plants, and binary beats.
