About My Clients
I work with children ages 4 and up, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. You may be seeking answers for yourself, support for your child, or medication management alongside your current therapist. I listen closely, explain your options, and work with you on a plan that fits your needs. My practice offers telehealth, private-pay services, and sliding-scale options for qualifying patients. Superbills available upon request.
My Background and Approach
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Roots & Wings Mental Health LLC. My nursing background includes behavioral health intake, inpatient psychiatric care, and pediatric home health. These experiences have shown me how important it is to listen carefully and understand what is happening beyond a list of symptoms. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children ages 4 and up, teens, and adults. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based care. We’ll discuss your concerns, treatment history, goals, and medication options, including potential benefits and side effects. Follow-up visits give us time to assess what is helping and adjust your plan when needed. With your permission, I can also coordinate with your therapist or primary care provider.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you deserve to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about your care. Mental health concerns can affect every part of life, and asking for support should never be a source of shame. My background helps me appreciate how culture, family expectations, and personal experiences shape the way we understand mental health. I make room for your values and perspective without assuming that your experience is the same as mine. You can ask questions, share concerns about medication, and be honest about what is or isn’t working. My goal is to build a relationship where we can have those conversations openly and work toward goals that matter to you.
