About My Clients

My clients are individuals, in particular women, who operate in demanding positions and are often trying to carve out time for their self-care, break generational behavioral curses, establishing boundaries in personal and professional relationships, or navigating work politics to reach their personal and professional goals. Many of my clients work standard 9-5 shifts. As such, I provide online services during weekday evenings and weekends to accommodate their busy schedules.

My Background and Approach

As a licensed clinical psychologist, it is my joy and honor to help people grow and develop so they can live life more abundantly. I have over 20 years of experience in the field, with particular expertise in multicultural and women’s issues, as well as health psychology. I am a former American Psychological Association Minority Fellow, a former mental health expert for a large digital platform, and have presented at several national venues, such as the American Public Health Association’s annual convention. I have also worked in forensic and academic settings, as well as published some of my work. If you are looking for a safe space to be vulnerable as you develop effective, evidence-based self-care strategies, or want to learn how to create boundaries that helps promote healthy relationships and are in sync with your mental and emotional health needs, or seeking validation, support, and strategies while climbing the corporate ladder, you do not have to go it alone.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I opened John Henry’s Sisters because it is my belief that people can benefit from learning new skills and habits to help them live the best life possible in spite of various challenges – something we all experience. Whether you are a single woman learning how to establish healthy boundaries with family members, a C-suite racial/ethnic minority woman dealing with racial microaggressions in the workplace, or a mother working to develop regular stress management techniques, it is possible to move from a space of surviving to thriving.
