About My Clients
I specialize in supporting teachers navigating career transitions, LGBTQ+ individuals seeking affirming care, college students facing academic and personal challenges, and anyone managing anxiety. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to help clients build resilience, clarity, and confidence in times of change.
My Background and Approach
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years as a public school teacher and school counselor, which deeply informs my understanding of the challenges faced by educators, students, and families. After completing my graduate training, I worked as an associate therapist for two years and have now been fully licensed for the past two. My approach blends narrative, mindfulness-based, and cognitive behavioral therapies, with an emphasis on helping clients find meaning, manage stress, and navigate life transitions with greater self-awareness and resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in humanistic, person-centered, and strength-based approaches, which honor each individual’s unique story, inherent worth, and inner resilience. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative—where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward the life they want to live.
