About My Clients
If you've ever felt caught in a cycle of overthinking, or like you know what you should do but feel overwhelmed by how to start, you are not alone. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, complex relationships, cultural identity, and the weight of family expectations. Many clients come to me wanting to process a difficult experience or find support through a life transition. Others are working through trauma, loss, grief, or the exhaustion of perfectionism.
My Background and Approach
My work honors the intricate connection between your mind and body, as well as the unique context of your life. Rather than treating what surfaces as a problem to eliminate, we'll often take time to explore what it might be pointing toward, whether unmet needs, unresolved experiences, or ways you've learned to adapt and survive. From there, we'll work on practical skills and tools to help you cope and grow. Using an integrative framework, I draw from approaches such as ACT, narrative therapy, DBT, and CBT, in a collaborative way to create a safe and affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are. My clinical experience includes providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I have also supported survivors of intimate partner violence, new parents, immigrants, and BIPOC clients navigating cultural identity and racial trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a 1.5-generation Asian American who moved frequently at a young age, I know what it feels like to straddle different worlds. This foundation shapes my work with all clients, but especially with immigrants and children of immigrants. I'm also an active member of the LGBTQ+ community. I value creating spaces where people of all identities feel seen and accepted. I care deeply about inclusion, social justice, and giving back to my community, and I enjoy volunteering and participating in community-based activities whenever I can. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy creative and relaxing activities such as slime-making and watching movies. I believe that play and creativity, and moments of joy are meaningful parts of our well-being.
