About My Clients
I strive to assist adults (18+) from all backgrounds in understanding and embracing their inherent power so that they feel confident and supported in their journey for self-exploration, growth, and adaptation to all that life throws our way. I believe that the therapeutic process is different for each individual, and that creating a safe and supportive space for others to be free to explore their vulnerabilities and self-awareness is vital.
My Background and Approach
My style could be described as curious and collaborative, joining my clients on their quest of self discovery and growth. Utilizing psychotherapy techniques, my role is one of assisting you in identifying and connecting the dots of your story, to help you better navigate life's uncertainties and transitions, build community and reclaim your power. I have nearly 20 years in the field of social work. I graduated in 2006 with my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida in Tampa. I returned to school and received my Master of Social Work degree in 2014 from the University of Southern California.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all of us have the right to access a safe space to learn and heal, and strive to promote this through utilizing strength based, person-centered and feminist lenses. Our work together should feel affirming and authentic, with collaborative awareness of the systems impacting your everyday life.
