My Background and Approach
There’s nothing “wrong” with you. Having worked in mental health field for almost 30 years, I have always had the same goal; to help those who need to learn how to help themselves. Together, we'll examine your perspective, develop self-awareness and learn how to manage emotions under the most stressful of life’s daily pressures. Using research-backed tools and techniques, I will help you develop the skills you need to reduce anxiety and depression and also manage stress. Understanding how our thoughts guide our behaviors creates real change; decreasing anxiety, while increasing happiness. Healthy thinking needs to be practiced and applying your new skills will create positive change. The cloud that followed you for so long will be lifted. Relief will be your motivation to and you can truly be present in your own life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Connection is the foundation to a therapeutic relationship. In my work, I believe it is most important to develop a true connection through being real with people. We are individuals who need help at different points in our lives, so there is no shame in reaching out. I do not shy away from sharing personal information when it can be helpful, I use humor because laughter is sometimes the best medicine, and I will always provide empathy and compassion to each person with whom I work. My goal is to help people learn who they are, change the perspectives causing depression and anxiety and succeed in being the person they want to see.
