When dealing with life’s challenges, we often neglect our own needs to make the time and space to handle other responsibilities. Over time, when we neglect our needs, our mental health often suffers. This is why I am passionate about empowering those overwhelmed with life’s challenges, to reduce their stress and increase their well-being through education, individualized self-care coaching, and counseling services.
My Background and Approach
My approach is very down-to-earth, person-centered, and strength-based. I believe that the client should be at the center of the service and not their condition. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where the client feels safe, understood and validated. Each session is truly a judgement free zone. I specialize in treating adults (18 and up) who may struggle with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, grief/loss, stress and trauma. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, expressive therapies and EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
This practice is sex-positive, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and affirming of folks from LGBTQ+, Kink, and Polyamory/Consensual Non-Monogamy communities.
