Tommy Montanarella

My approach is one that is comprised of a mixture of therapeutic techniques and interventions that are designed to treat each of my clients individually. To me, my clients are the center of their world and I treat them as such; understanding that every aspect of their life contributes to their overall well-being. I am honest and direct, and aim for an open and trusting therapeutic relationship. I treat all my clients with respect, love, compassion and empathy. Within our first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and create an individualized treatment plan to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.

I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Arizona State University. While maintaining a full-time class schedule and working two jobs, I volunteered in a research lab on campus where we conducted studies and analyzed data related to human emotion. Upon completion of my Bachelors, I proceeded to earn my Masters of Counseling Psychology at Grand Canyon University; which concluded with a practicum at a local integrated healthcare agency where I provided therapeutic services to children, families, adolescents, adults, and seniors through individual and group therapy. I value community and all the inner workings that contribute to ours. Equality and justice are at the forefront of my values, which to me extends to humans, animals, and our Earth. I approach life with love, compassion and curiosity so that I may move through life with the openness to learn and grow, while also being able to teach those around me who are open to listen.
