About My Clients
For those feeling anxious, depressed, experiencing racing thoughts, thinking of that one (or more) issue over and over again in your mind and not able to find a resolution, troubles sleeping at night, having nightmares, those who've experienced religious trauma or are struggling with spirituality in general, anger issues, ADHD, Men's issues, Self Esteem, Career Burnout, Feeling lack of purpose in your life, to name a few. I would love to help you move beyond that "stuck" feeling!
My Background and Approach
I use a warm, supportive, non-judgemental approach and love working with a variety of issues. Having been in the Counseling field over 20 years, it's been my priviledge to work with a variety of people experiencing a variety of struggles and I love helping people work through them! People come therapy for a variety of issues and I'm excited to help with whatever they wish to process, all in the hopes of moving to a new place of understanding. I primarily employ CBT, ACT, SFBT, and MI therapy modalities but truly focus on what is said in our conversations and discuss potential negative thought/emotional patterns and work to incorporate newer, healthier patterns and views of yourself and others. Being strengths based is my biggest focus!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all people are capable of change. A trusted therapist can help guide folks from a point of feeling stuck to a point of increased self realization and positive change. That is my goal with each person I work with. Whether that means feeling less anxious or depressed, or simply coming to realize your internal strengths while in therapy - those are huge gains! I love seeing people make these strides in therapy. I've done my own work in therapy and have experienced this first hand and would love to share what I've learned. For me, just having another person to trust and be vulnerable with was what helped me the most. There is no problem too big or small that can't be handled. I consider it an honor to be trusted by people who come to me for help. I don't take that responsibility lightly, and always look forward to pairing with another soul in their journey.
