CBT is a theory fundamental to my practice. Succinctly put, if you change your thoughts, you can change your behavior. I use CBT, to one degree or another, with every client I see. I have seen, when teaching this technique, the lightbulb goes off for my clients. So many times, in life, we are not allowed to express our thoughts or feelings. When clients see that their thoughts, literally what they tell themselves, can impact their behavior - the possibilities are endless!

Eclectic Therapy is, in essence, utilizing multiple therapeutic modalities. I have learned, throughout the years, that different therapeutic techniques may work at different times or in different situations. I envision therapy as an art. Just as there are many mediums in art to help you present your desired masterpiece there are many therapeutic modalities to help you reach your goals. Together we work to help you have the best therapeutic "medium" for each situation to reach your goals!

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), succinctly put, is looking at your desired 'goal' and using this as a focal point to help you get there. The core of SFBT is understanding what you are already doing that is working. I use SFBT, to one degree or another, with every client I see. We often feel stagnant but we forget to acknowledge that we are doing more than we think, feeling better than we could, or are closer to our goals than we realize - leading to finding solutions in life!
