About My Clients
We might be a good fit if you are longing deeply for something but don’t know what. If you feel dissatisfied, ashamed, depressed, or anxious. If you're asking big life questions (or feel too afraid to ask them). If you are moved by a night sky, a glittering stream, or a mountain view. Every client is unique, and together, we will clarify what healing means to you. We will work within your worldview and cultural context, even when there are lived experiences that you and I don’t share.
My Background and Approach
I offer a supportive space for you to explore yourself and your journey from new perspectives. I focus on empowering clients to identify their own strengths, gain new skills, and see themselves with more curiosity and compassion. My approach is strengths-based, somatically grounded, and trauma-informed. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. My favorite modalities are Gestalt, somatic parts work, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and social justice approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the most powerful part of therapy is tapping into your inner wisdom—the warm, safe, grounded place within each of us that provides clarity and self-leadership. You might not think you have such a place within, but I believe you do. We can seek it together. We can create a safe place for you to feel, explore, and question without judgment. Curiosity and compassion are the most powerful tools for overcoming the fears, shame, or patterns that plague you. I also believe that our identities shape our lived experiences in profound and often unacknowledged ways. Social justice and mental health are always interwoven, and we can explore your identity together. Lastly, I believe therapy is an adventure. And like all good adventures, there will be peaks and valleys. You will be stretched and inspired. You will see new things within and around you. You will laugh and grieve and everything in between. I love a good adventure, which is why I love this work.
