About My Clients

My ideal client is someone who has experienced various forms of trauma—whether combat-related, relational, situational, attachment-based, or from childhood—and is ready to take steps toward healing. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or triggered by past experiences and are seeking to desensitize and process these traumas in a safe and supportive space. This client is motivated to understand how their past influences their present, particularly in their relationships with themselves and others. T

My Background and Approach

I am originally from California, but as a military spouse, I’ve had the unique opportunity to live all over the world, gaining a deep understanding of diverse experiences. As a counselor, I work from a person-centered approach, believing in the innate potential of each individual to heal and grow when provided with a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment. As a trauma specialist, I integrate somatic techniques to help clients reconnect with their bodies and process trauma at a deeper, holistic level. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore the various parts of the self, fostering internal harmony and self-compassion. Utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I guide clients in embracing their emotions, clarifying values, and taking steps toward meaningful change. My strength-based approach focuses on uncovering and building upon each client’s unique abilities and resilience, empowering them to navigate challenges and cultivate a fulfilling life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a counselor, I firmly believe that every client has the capacity to heal, grow, and transform their lives. Each person possesses an inner resilience and strength that can be nurtured and rediscovered through self-exploration and support. Change is possible when we gain new perspectives, challenge unhelpful patterns, and embrace healthier ways of navigating life and relationships. My role is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, uncover their potential, and work towards meaningful and fulfilling growth. Together, we can create a path toward greater understanding, connection, and personal empowerment.
