About My Clients
If you're a woman who identifies as a high-achiever and thrives in your career, but can't seem to translate that to your personal relationships, we'll probably be a great fit. Most of my clients are hyperindependent perfectionists and have complex trauma, where they have been raised to believe that their self-worth is based on what they can do or achieve. I love working with driven and intuitive women who want to prevent (or recover from) burnout and focus on inner work and self-care.
My Background and Approach
When it comes to therapy, one size doesn’t fit all. Part of our work together includes getting creative: We’ll identify where your lifestyle isn't working for you, and create a custom, action-focused approach as we get to know each other. This allows me to combine the best of several different therapeutic approaches, primarily parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Brainspotting. In session, I've been told that I have a "velvet hammer approach," and will give it to you straight, as compassionately and gently as possible. I have a relational approach to therapy, and offer hope and humor regularly in session. I can promise that our sessions together will be as unique as you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is political and that issues like women's rights, human rights, reproductive health rights, oppression, racism, colorism, classism, ableism, and LGBTQIA+ rights (among others) all impact my work. I am left-leaning myself, and regularly immerse myself in anti-racist and anti-colonial work.
