I have previously worked for a nonprofit agency where I focused on working with children, adolescents, and their families. Through our sessions we focused on communication skills, listening, boundaries, and behavioral modification strategies, in order to reduce conflict present in family systems and promote healthy relationships. I was able to work with my clients and families through various challenges including trauma, gender identity, anxiety, depression, and self-harm.

Since receiving my licensure in 2019 I have been using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy strategies and interventions to help client's manage their anxiety. I have been able to work together with clients to implement healthy coping skills, reduce panic attacks, manage thought patterns, and better handles the stresses of life.

I have received training in and use the Gottman method of couples counseling. This counseling model has been developed and tested by Doctors John and Julie Gottman and is the results of 40+ years of research. It focuses on what makes relationship successful and healthy and what causes them to fail. If couple wants to not utilize the Gottman method then I am happy to work with them and find the marital therapy approach that is a best fit for them.
