About My Clients
Tim works with adults who feel stuck, in grief, anxiety, trauma, or patterns they can't seem to break. Many of his clients know something is off but can't quite get past it on their own. They're ready for a therapist who listens deeply and then actually helps them do something about it.
My Background and Approach
Tim holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University and additional graduate degrees in Orientation & Mobility and Vision Rehabilitation Therapy from Western Michigan University. Working under Sara Yarbrough's supervision, he specializes in EMDR, trauma recovery, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. His approach is person-centered and strengths-based, starting with who you already are, not a deficit to fix. He regularly sends clients home with concrete tasks because he believes growth doesn't stop when the session ends.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Tim believes that being stuck isn't a character flaw, it's usually what happens when old patterns that used to make sense stop fitting your life. He sees his job as helping people figure out what's actually keeping them stuck, and then doing something about it. He describes the process like hiking a steep trail: you start carrying a heavy pack, the climb is hard, but as you keep going something shifts, you get stronger, and you begin letting go of what you've been holding. By the top, you're not the same person who started. Tim stays steady when hard moments arise in session, shutdowns, anger, wanting to quit, and meets them with sensitivity and zero judgment. He believes real growth happens between sessions as much as during them. His hope for every client: leave feeling lighter, more balanced, and genuinely equipped for whatever comes next.
