About My Clients
My ideal therapy client would be someone open to exploring their thoughts and feelings, ready to engage in self-reflection. They might be experiencing challenges but are motivated to work through them. Curiosity about themselves and a willingness to try new perspectives would be key traits. This client would value the therapeutic process, understanding that growth can take time and effort, and they would communicate openly about their needs and goals.
My Background and Approach
With over 15 years of dedicated service in counseling, I am committed to enhancing mental health and well-being in clients of all ages. My journey began when I was impacted by a compassionate school counselor during my younger years. Inspired by her positive influence, I embarked on this path to support others in their mental health journeys. Throughout my career, I have worked to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I work with clients on anxiety management, depression support, assist in navigating grief, ADHD or other behavioral challenges, & help foster healthy relationships & family systems. I firmly believe that good mental health is essential for individuals of all ages & working with an experienced counselor increases the probability of a positive outcome. By promoting self-awareness, coping skills, and emotional intelligence, I can contribute to a healthier and more balanced way of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I believe in the power of empathy, connection, and growth. I value open communication and strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I’m passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths and resilience, and I see therapy as a collaborative journey where clients are the experts on their own lives. I strongly support mental health awareness and advocate for breaking the stigma surrounding mental health issues. I believe that everyone deserves access to mental health resources, regardless of their background. Additionally, I’m committed to promoting cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in my practice, understanding that diverse experiences shape our identities and perspectives. I also advocate for holistic approaches to well-being, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical health. My goal is to empower clients to take charge of their healing process.
