I strive to help people not only discover their true potential but also break down the barriers that may be hindering their ability to meet goals by using various therapeutic approaches. I apply a strengths-based approach to pinpoint how those strengths can be used to improve communication, relationships, and self-esteem. Experienced in providing anger management, I assist individuals with identifying triggers and using their strengths to lower the impact on themselves as well as others. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help restructure thought patterns for those who find difficulty combating unhealthy thoughts. I have a background in working with the homeless, older adults as well as teens, who were looking to gain or improve their independence. I've aide this population with tools such as completing an application, gaining the confidence to set up their appointments, or promoting self-advocacy. As a parent myself, I'm motivated to work with first-time/current parents.
