About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma, depression, anger, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. I especially enjoy helping children and adolescents understand their emotions, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate school, relationships, and family challenges. I also work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. My clients don't have to have everything figured out—they just need to
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) serving children, adolescents, and adults in Glenwood, Arkansas and surrounding communities. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), and anger management. I have a particular interest in OCD, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and working with children and adolescents. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I believe therapy should be individualized to each client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I combine evidence-based techniques with a genuine understanding of each person's experiences, strengths, and goals. Therapy may involve learning coping skills, changing unhelpful thought patterns, processing difficult experiences, improving emotional regulation, or developing healthier relationships and behaviors. My goal is to help clients better understand themsel
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and understood. People are more than their symptoms, diagnoses, behaviors, or difficult seasons, and I believe there is value in understanding what is happening beneath the surface. I believe therapy should provide both compassion and accountability. While it is important to have a safe place to process difficult experiences, I also believe meaningful therapy should help you develop practical skills, recognize unhealthy patterns, and make changes that improve your life. I believe children and teenagers deserve to be understood rather than defined by their behavior. Behavior often communicates something that a child may not yet have the words or skills to express. I believe parents and caregivers are an important part of helping children develop emotional awareness, confidence, and healthy coping skills. I believe asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.
