Many of the clients I work with are overachievers and perfectionists—people who appear to have it all together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, unsure, unworthy, or just stuck on the inside. Some feel like they’re just going through the motions, like a bystander in their own life. They’re often stressed, struggling with friendships or relationships, and trying to figure out who they are, what matters to them, and what they want their lives to look like. Sound familiar? My Background and Approach
My approach is flexible, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I draw from cognitive, family systems, and interpersonal therapies informed by strengths-based and trauma-informed frameworks. I use tools like DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing and together we tailor the work to what feels right for you. It's not one-size-fits-all—our work is shaped around your goals, preferences, and who you are. With a background in social work, I’ll share practical tools I’ve developed over years of working with people—things you can actually use in everyday life. My goal is for you to leave with a few go-to techniques in your back pocket that you can lean on wherever you are, so you feel more grounded and supported when things get hard. We'll focus on what’s showing up for you right now and work together to help you feel more in control, build resilience, and develop skills that support you not just in the moment, but over time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe food is a great connector and miniature schnauzers are the absolute best dogs ever! I also believe in the resilience of the human spirit and that everyone has strengths and an inner drive toward growth. My role as a therapist isn’t to “fix” you—it’s to help you reconnect with your own resilience, find more balance, and feel more like yourself again. Just because something has always been, doesn't mean it has to always be. I am LGBTQIA+ allied and affirming and welcome clients from all racial, cultural, ethnic, religious and spiritual backgrounds.
