About My Clients
I have been working for 9 years in the field and currently provide counseling for a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. Specializing in the following areas: women’s issues, post partum depression/anxiety, birth trauma, depression, grief/loss, infertility, parenting support, couples work, and a strong emphasis in working with the LGBTQI population.
My Background and Approach
As a clinical social worker, I am here to help you uncover and reach your full potential and provide a holistic way of doing so. I integrate a variety of techniques in order to help individuals overcome barriers they may be facing in their lives to uncover their true being. The main approaches I focus on include CBT, DBT, and Feminist Theory-but I do understand one size does not fit all. Many times in my practice we will utilize framework from multiple areas of focus but in a strengths based perspective.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that one of the most difficult steps to overcome is the first step and acknowledging that you need more support in order to overcome or learn to cope with obstacles in your life. I believe there are many different ways to do that. I provide a driven/holistic approach in my work and have worked with individuals as young as 6-adulthood.
