About My Clients
My practice is grounded in cultural humility, social justice, and a deep respect for the lived experiences of marginalized communities. I am LGBTQ/Kink -affirming, body-positive, and an advocate for sex work. I work in polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and diverse relational dynamics. My focus centers on healing religious and racial trauma, minority stress, and shame. I specialize in working with clients who are seeking to untangle internalized narratives and cultivate healthier relationships
My Background and Approach
I am trained in somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), strength-based approaches, and trauma-informed mindfulness practices. My sex-positive training equips me to address sexuality, intimacy, consent, desire, and shame with clinical neutrality and a deep respect for client autonomy. I operate through a social work lense and my work integrates evidence-based modalities with an understanding of how systemic and cultural factors impact mental health. I approach therapy collaboratively and my aim is to create a space where clients feel empowered in their healing process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe above all else self-advocacy is the key to enhancing the therapeutic space, along with self-protection from exploitation. Therapy can be just as harmful to one as it is healing if the proper care is not placed in delivering services to more vulnerable populations. An individual must not only be open to working on their healing but given the tools to trust their intuition while maintaining their self-autonomy in the process. I trust my clients and recognize the position i'm in is a privileged one. Regardless, if someone chooses to work with me I encourage individuals seeking treatment to speak openly and freely of their concerns and what they wish to gain from this experience to anyone they select.
