About My Clients
Many of my clients feel stuck—strong people who support others but struggle to find balance themselves. As a military wife of 22 years, I understand the challenges faced by active-duty members, veterans, and their families. I also support those living with severe and persistent mental illness, helping clients rediscover stability, confidence, and peace through compassionate, collaborative care.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor who combines compassion with a practical, evidence-based approach. My background includes inpatient, crisis, and private practice settings, which allows me to meet clients wherever they are on their journey. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients process emotions, change unhelpful patterns, and strengthen coping skills. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented—therapy is not something I do to you, but with you. I believe real healing happens when insight and action come together, and every session is tailored to fit your individual needs, pace, and personality. Whether we’re working through trauma, stress, or relationship patterns, my focus is always on helping you feel supported, capable, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing begins with being truly heard and understood. Everyone carries a story, and therapy should be a place where that story can unfold without judgment. I view mental health as an ongoing journey of growth, not a destination of perfection. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are and helping them move forward with compassion, courage, and purpose. My role is to help you uncover your own resilience and rediscover the parts of yourself that may have been silenced by pain or stress. I also believe in breaking the stigma around mental health—seeking help is an act of strength, not weakness. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistency and support, healing becomes possible. Above all, I believe everyone deserves a space to feel safe, seen, and valued while learning to create a life that feels more peaceful and authentic.
