About My Clients
Growing up in a family where your emotional and even physical needs were ignored left you feeling overwhelmed and lonely in your adulthood. You may spend hours daydreaming about just fitting in somewhere, anywhere because you never felt you fit in within your own family. You may have wondered if you were adopted and that one day your "real family" would show up and whisk you away to a normal life. Now, you look back on those years feeling deep sadness and anger.
My Background and Approach
I help clients with scars from childhood neglect and abandonment reconnect with their intuition and re-parent their wounded inner child through effective techniques like EMDR. You don't have to be chained to your past. You can take the wheel and regain control over your life. It is possible to live a connected and full life free from ties to the past. The world can be cruel and you may feel alone but that does not have to be your reality. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist of color, I recognize the unique needs of others burdened by systemic and institutional racism as well as microaggressions in the classroom and workspace. Are you looking for a therapist that can truly understand these needs? Then I may be the one you are looking for. My goal is provide a comfortable space for clients of color who are looking for a therapist that is not affiliated with any major religion. You do not need to worry about feeling judged here! I fully support any individual that is a part of a marginalized group whether based on race, gender, social class, nationality, ethnicity, sexuality or a combination of a few or all of these identifiers.
