About My Clients
As a mental health provider and educator, I believe that personal liberation is attainable through a holistic approach. Her practice dismantles generational traumas, fosters spiritual awareness, empowers one’s self-identity, interrupts pathological patterns, ignites intimate connections and family relationships.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Anderson obtained a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University, then later achieved a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Loyola University Maryland. Her research includes African Spirituality, Racial and Cultural Equities, African American Female God-Image, Community Trauma, African American Coping and Resilience, and Generational Pathologies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Dr. Anderson created Crown Therapy, LLC to cultivate a light-filled community that supports mental health and spiritual growth, specifically African-Americans and those from marginalized communities. Dr. Anderson believes that true freedom begins when her clients are able to be who they truly want to be without judgment or ridicule. Her mission is to ensure that you are seen, heard, and valued. In her spare time, Dr. Anderson likes to read self-help novels, dance to R&B, sing Mariah Carey songs like no one is watching, and host game nights for friends and family.
