My Background and Approach
My practice is guided by a warm, safe, and non-judgmental approach. It's a tender process to serve individuals during delicate seasons of life. Especially new mothers and parents. I know this because, I am a mother of three children. Now, as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I am personally & professionally invested in specializing in perinatal mood disorders for other mothers to have access to resources, knowledge, and support needed during postpartum care. Currently, my practice is specializing in life transitions, perinatal mental health, and pre and post pregnancy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
For new mothers, who are adjusting to a new lifestyle, after giving birth can feel exhilarating and also exhausting. You may find yourself laughing and crying at the same time. Yes, that's normal for the next few months & up to a few years after giving birth. It's easy to put yourself on hold, while attending to your newborn, household demands, and/or other siblings in the home. I believe implicating a healthy support system is key. This is where I would like to join you and remind you to nurture yourself too. Does it need to look perfect, not at all. I believe the more real and honest you can be with yourself is the making of true healing. My belief is that you are worthy to be heard, seen, and acknowledged. My work ethic stems from a place of intentionality, integrity, & hope. I invite you to come as you are and take a moment for yourself.
